survivor NTU cum rants: pre golden week

well as mentioned in the last post.. 27th sept to 5th oct is the golden week... but still before tt..have to work la.. sianz lor...

so as usual i worked from mon, 22nd sept to thurs 25th sept.. well for some reasons..the train seems alot more crowded than usual..i mean granted its alr crowded everyday while gg to back and gg back home but still..this time..the only part u can move abt without hitting anyone is ur head..tts abt it..other than tt ur entire body is touching someone else's or their bag, or their dog.. it will certainly be mass chaos if someone farted...

tt pic was taken when i was gg back to work one day..yea..seriously packed.. china could v easily set a guniess world record for the most no of ppl in a mrt carriage...

ah..well mornings arent tt crowded..at least cuz i leave the house pretty early.. but usually morning can oso see can weird stuff.. like..

this guy for instance..he's warming up.. i mean seriously..he's doing squats, hand stretches etc... too bad the train left b4 i see him do push ups and the rest of the china great workout(which prob isnt any lamer than the great sg workout we usually do in pri schs)..

but then was really looking forward to next tues, 29th sept... cuz then its the golden week and the start of my xi'an trip!! hahaha.. china's national day is on the 1st oct..and to celebrate her national day, china has a 1 week holiday!! ( see..chinese are patriotic..unlike sgeans *cough* 1 day *cough* national day holiday...) its mass migration for all of china as locals and foreigners(alot more on locals) alike travel ard china during this 1 week holidays..

anw...on thurs 25th sept, celest's father is coming over to shanghai.. so she went straight to motel 168 where she booked a room for her father(and herself during his stay) liao..and then i went over there to have dinner.. well "went over there" was easier said then done... 1) i had no idea where to turn..i did know where to walk abit from 陆家浜station, but my housemates said need to turn at some point, which i didnt know where or how it looks like.. haha.. so i jus tried my luck and walk lor... walk walk walk.. then had a gut feeling like..ok..kinda looks like i might have overshot... so asked a shopkeeper tt asked me to turn right..then cont walking..and ok..i did tt..and ended up on some seriously ulu and dark street..and i tot "ok...motel 168 is prob nt on this ulu street..i think i horlland..shit..where the f^&*# am i?" (usually its a small joke during army tt the 1st few words a soldier says whenever he horlands or gets hopelessly lost is where the f$%^ are we?)

the motel's add is at 3-7号徐家汇路.. so walked abit..and asked a guy.. then u know what he told me "你可以搭地铁到徐家汇站，地铁站不远"(can take mrt to xujiahui station, mrt station is nt far away..) i almost wanted to say "oei its徐家汇路... nt 徐家汇站 and the station is mega far from where i wanna go to laaaa..." but still i said "好谢谢你" and jus tried my luck and walked abit... and luckily i saw the big MOTEL 168 sign... like paradise like tt lor!!! hahahah... est time from house to MOTEL 168(1st try)--45mins

finally met celest after the long walk thru ulu street and went nearby for dinner..

some mildly spicy claypot chicken thingy..forgot whats it called... its pretty gd.. cheap too..hahaha.. after tt..walked ard, bought some stuff and tired to find my way back to apartment..

and realised this is the place im supposed to turn left instead of walking straight.. est time from MOTEL 168 to home -- 15mins.... argh....

well so on fri, 26 sept, unfortunately there's still lessons.. and still got presentation somemore lor.. in chinese! and have to put on ppt la!! arghhhhhh.. but heng i got help from my mom during the last week or so..heng lor..if nt my presentation cfm chuided..hahaha.. again celest did her presentation last min la..like she said she did it the night b4(25th sept) .. but then hor..still super zai lor.. talk and presented like she prepared for v long like tt... no wonder she's the goddess..hehe.. well topics for the presentation ranges from like food in shanghai, to comparisions btw shanghai and sg, and to the less heard of topics like suicides rates in china and sg and the BMW(bie mo wo--别模我).. well my topic is the dry and mundane law and the effects of money on law in china and singapore.. somehow i managed to survive.. well wanted to say out a 成语tt will own all others but too kan cheong than nv say lor!! sianz... anw..the ownage 成语 is 贩夫走卒..mega ownage one.. dun pray pray(别玩玩)...

celest left early after her lesson to pei her father and get rich at 静安寺..i stayed on for a while more then went to 上海火车站to book tix from nanjing back to shanghai during the golden week trip... well yea..im gg to 2 places during the golden trip.. xi'an and nanjing.. as usual 上海火车站 is people mountain people sea(人山人海)..queued for almost 45mins to get the tix...well 45mins cuz of people cutting queue when other ppl are buying tix.. then after tt went home for a short while, slacked..then join celest and her father at our fav 南京西路...

went to the usual 小杨生煎

and the bbq store for lots of the 羊肉串, the bbqed fish, the oysters and scallop and all the bbq-ed goodies...

and oh yea.. at tt time the melamine scare was at its greatest.. all milk supposed has this chemical called melamine which is added for making plastics or smth like tt.. prob china milk makers added it into milk to make it taste more cow-y or make it look whiter but still..yea.. drinking lots of melamine causes kidney stones! gasp! but then.... even the melamine scare doesnt stop us from gg to Coco.. prob is.. we do wanna avoid the milk in the milk tea..but we still want a drink tt can combine with pudding and pearls and taste really great... so... after thinking for a while.. we went up to "angie" and asked her for our request...

oh.side track abit.. since singapore angie wanna see china angie.. celest managed to zai-ly 偷拍 china angie's pic so that singapore angie can compare whether singapore angie looks like china angie or china angie doesnt look like singapore angie.. so here's singa...i mean china angie!!

well as u can see china angie is working real hard so we cant see her face clearly..unlike singapore angie(at tt time on 26th sept) who prob is slacking... (but im sure singapore angie is mugging hard for singapore exams now huh..=P)

well surprisingly they do make the drink we ordered..even though its nt in the menu..so..
